Dogz Lyfe grasps tjemind, pull's on the heart, and lets the soul flow with rap lyrical rhymes. Dogz Lyfe came from a necessity of letting the inner self be unleashed unto paper and then through voice be released with beat rythmic music. Dogz lyfe is Robin Favel (22) of Piapot First Nation's, a.k.a "Burdun". Burdun has been rapping for 10 years. Burdun has finished high school and self produces the lyrics and the music.
Like all great artists, his story began December 2002 when he worked with Cameron Nicholls a.k.a "Ifamous" when they first met. in January 2003 Dogz Lyfe made it to the Crow Hop Cafe on February 2003 at the Cultural Exchange. Dogz Lyfe's next arrival to the Crow Cafe on March 2003 at Cafe Ultimate . They gave a great performance March 6 and again left the crowd in awe struck wonder. When asked to produce a 3 song demo CD for Regina's 100 years Celebration, Dogz Lyfe dug deep and produced it by themselves at Soulo Productions Studio in 24 hours of work. As their agent, i believe they offer more than just a label of being rap. Dogz Lyfe offers an understanding to the youth and old alike what life can be like on the street. The lyrics on the music teach lessons of experience for the youth. They can take a crowd and make them listen while blowqing their minds with lyrical rap.
The first three songs have been done purposely in a voice feedback mode dedicated in memory of Krysten Nicole Whitecap, 1981-2003. in our youth of today a silent killer is taking our children awayand nobody speaks of it, suicide is not a stranger to First Nations people. When a person leaves this workd in a such away it is written in a bookand nobody hears of the number again, this time is taken to help Krysten's voice be heard through Dogz lyfe demo CD. Krysten may your voice be heard.
