Cory is from the Sturgeon Lake First Nation northwest of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He is a graduate of the SIAST Woodland Campus Media Arts Diploma Program winning many awards and scholarships as a student.
In 1998 he started producing 'audio loops' and 'beat tracks' while in Edmonton where he also started song writing. Cory moved to Prince Albert in 2000 where he continued to produce audio and songwriting material while independently editing a soundtrack. This production created an opportunity to host an on-air sports segment at a local radio station. In 2001 he started a non-profit theatre organization for at-risk urban youth funded by Health Canada. The program won an award as "A Saskatchewan Success Story" for arts-based programs funded in western Canada. Cory has many forms of media and entertainment experience including broadcast television and radio, film and video, and theatre. His technical credits surround areas in Web/Internet/New Media productions, print (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Digital Video Effects and NLE post-production, photography, and audio production. He feels that his knowledge, experience, and training in various media disciplines and art forms allows him to better understand skills and technical judgments required for media production. Cory is presently working on web mastering and website construction, teaching Final Cut Pro workshops and is a full-time producer at a Rawlco radio station in Regina. |
