Dogz LyfeDogz Lyfe grasps the mind, pulls on the heart, and lets the soul flow with rap lyrical rhymes. Dogz Lyfe came from a necessity of letting the inner self be unleashed unto the paper and then through voice be released with beat rhythmic music.

Dogz Lyfe is Robin Favel (22) of Piapot First Nations, a.k.a "Burdun". Burdun has been rapping for 10 years. Robin has finished highschool and self-produces the lyrics and the music. His story began December 2002 when he worked with Cameron Nicholls a.k.a. "Infamous". In January 2003 Dogz Lyfe made it to the Crow Hop Café, in February at the Cultural Exchange, and in March at the Crow Hop Café Ultimate. They gave a great performance and again left the crowd in awestruck wonder. Dogz Lyfe gave such a great performance that White Buffalo Youth Lodge in Saskatoon required their performance for its "Empowerment Without Boundaries" Conference on March 13, 2003 and were called back three months later to play for the children again.

On March 15, 2003 Dogz Lyfe signed on to Lightening Strike Agency and officially began its new career. Dogz Lyfe returned to Saskatoon at the Odeon Night Club, played The Pyramid in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the Red City Festival, and recorded live and played on the Internet to Harvard University Internet Radio Station. Dogz Lyfe played the City of Regina's 100 year Celebration Concert for his Royal Highness Prince Charles in 2003. In 2004 Dogz Lyfe played for the National Aboriginal Achievment Foundation's "Blueprint For The Future" Youth Convention in Saskatoon.

Dogz Lyfe has played at numerous schools throughout Regina and area and worked with organizations such as Mackenzie Art Gallery, Big Soul Productions, Renegade Productions, Saskatchewan Writers Guild Conference (Moose Jaw), Regina Folk Festival, Regina Exhibition 2003, Royal Saskatchewan Museum's '2004 Youth Forum Symposium on Sustainability', the Crow Hop Café, 2004 National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation and with Lightening Strike Agency.

Danielle Favel For 2004, Dogz Lyfe finished their first self-produced CD called "Leaving An Infamous Burdun". Infamous moved on to Edmonton, leaving Burdun as solo artist of Dogz Lyfe in 2004. On October 12, 2004 Dogz Lyfe finished a second album titled "Ransom", after only four weeks of self-producing in studio. Robin's sister Danielle Favel, aka "Dee" is featured on the "Ransom" album and on numerous live performances including the 2004 National Aboriginal Achievement Foundations Youth Convention.

"When asked to produce a 3-song demo CD for Regina's 100 years Celebration, Dogz Lyfe dug deep and produced it by themselves at Soulo Productions Studio in 24 hours of work. As their agent I believe they offer more than just a label of being rap. Dogz Lyfe offers an understanding to the youth and old alike what life can be like on the street. The lyrics to the music teach lessons of experience for the youth. They can take a crowd and make them listen while blowing their minds with lyrical rap. The first three songs have been done purposely in a voice feed back mode dedicated in memory of Krysten Nicole Whitecap, 1981-2003. In our youth of today a silent killer is taking our children away and nobody speaks of it, suicide is not a stranger to First Nations people. When a person leaves this world in such a way it is written in a book and nobody hears of that number again, this time is taken to help Krysten's voice be heard through Dogz Lyfe's demo CD. Krysten may your voice be heard." Preston LeCaine
