Erroll is presently the Fine Arts coordinator with the Kakisiwew School on the Ochapowace First Nation. Since working as a principal actor on the television series "North of 60", he has conducted many workshops with the Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company in Saskatoon. He also worked at the 25th Street Theatre on the world premiere of Greg Daniel's "Four Horses". Erroll has played a Cree warrior for the television movie Big Bear, also, as Alphonse Desjarlais on "Revenge of the Land", and Uncle Vanya with the Red Tattoo Theatre. His most notable performances has been with Tomson Highway's, "Dry Lips Oughta Move to Kapuskasing", (Toronto, Ontario) and "The Truth Hurts" with the Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company. Erroll continues to work as an actor and has mentored native youth actors with Big Soul Productions pilot show of "Moccasin Flats" in 2003. In 2004 he coordinated a Common Weal Community Arts project, "Thinking Out Loud", an inner-city youth theatre-training program. Kinistino has also been a guest performer at the Crow Hop Café, and his original songs have been aired on CBC. He has studied at the School of Fine Arts in Banff, Alberta, the University of Regina's Drama Department and the summer theatre camp at Collingwood, Ontario. He is a graduate from the Indian Communication Arts program at the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College in 1988. Erroll resides on his home reserve at the Ochapowace First Nation. |
